Project Overview
IFI was appointed to provide passive fire protection inspection and compliance support for the New Kent Road higher-risk residential project.
The appointment covered the full RIBA Stage 3–7 process, including early design review, technical detail review, construction-phase inspection, completion support and post-completion close-out.
The project required a coordinated approach to reviewing design intent, monitoring installation works on site, managing evidence and supporting final sign-off reporting.
Scope of Services
IFI’s role included:
- RIBA Stage 3 fire protection design review support
- RIBA Stage 4 technical detail and specification review
- RIBA Stage 5 passive fire protection site inspections
- RIBA Stage 6 completion review and final sign-off reporting
- RIBA Stage 7 post-completion support and remedial close-out
- Review of fire stopping, compartmentation and interface details
- Fire door and doorset inspection support
- Review of passive fire protection evidence
- Technical reporting and defect tracking
- Support with project completion and handover records
Project Outcome
